Teresa (Terri) Lacava worked at Legal Assistance Corporation of Central Massachusetts for over 20 years before the program joined with Western Massachusetts Legal Services to form Community Legal Aid in 2011. joined the staff as a Receptionist in June of 1989, and became an advocacy paralegal in the Disability and Housing Units in 1991. In 1998, Terri was promoted to Senior Paralegal. She is now an advocate in the Benefits Unit, and represents clients in administrative hearings before the Social Security Administration and the Division of Unemployment Insurance. Terri frequently conducts community outreach and trainings, including serving as a trainer for the Center for Legal Aid Education. Terri also developed and coordinates CLA's successful community legal education training series. In May 2006, Terri was honored as LACCM's Advocate of the Year at the Worcester County Bar Association's Equal Justice reception.
