Community Legal Aid

Community Legal Aid, Inc. (CLA) is the civil legal aid program that provides free legal services to low-income and elderly families and individuals in central and western Massachusetts. Through our advocacy in over 5,000 cases each year, the region’s most vulnerable residents obtain safe and stable housing, access disability and other benefits programs, and break free from domestic violence. With a dedicated staff of 60 people, CLA provides critical legal representation to clients who cannot afford to pay for a lawyer to assist them with their most basic needs.
