Honorable James F. Queenan Passes Away

On behalf of Community Legal Aid (CLA), Executive Director Jonathan Mannina made the following statement on the passing of the Honorable James F. Queenan:

“The CLA family is saddened to learn of the passing of its longtime friend and supporter, the Honorable James F. Queenan. Judge Queenan, who sat on the Bankruptcy Court in Worcester and Springfield, was an icon of the Worcester legal community as well as a great champion of legal aid.  He generously contributed his time and talent by participating in many of CLA’s private bar fundraising campaigns, and by mentoring staff attorneys at CLA. In 2011, Judge Queenan established the Hon. James F. Queenan Legal Services Fund at the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, designating CLA as the permanent beneficiary. He was a kind and compassionate person, and will be missed.”
